Chemical Peels

Chemical peels remove damaged outer layers of skin to make skin smoother, reduce fine lines or scarring, and remove blemishes. Ranging from mild to strong, the strength and type of each peel is tailored to the client. Peels can be combined with other procedures for additional improvement to the skin.

The amount of peeling of the skin can depend of the strength of the peel but is not pertinent to results. Peeling usually will not last longer than 5-7 days at most.

During a free consultation, we will discuss pretreatment care and instructions, realistic expectations and after care.

Chemical Peel Procedure

During a chemical peel, the skin is cleansed and the solution is applied, which may cause a brief stinging sensation. A cooling mask will then be applied for 5-10 minutes, followed with appropriate serums, moisturizer and SPF.

Side Effects of Chemical Peels

AHA and BHA peels can cause temporary stinging, redness and irritation, as well as flaking or crusting. After a chemical peel, clients must avoid any picking of the peeling and  it is essential that the skin be protected from the sun.
