Aura Esthetics and Ink

Maurissa Acord is a Montana native, raised in the Flathead Valley. She served 6 years in the United States Navy as a Hospital Corpsman and returned to Montana, choosing Bozeman as her home 25 years ago. Upon honorable discharge from the service, Maurissa started working at a dermatology clinic in 2001 as a medical assistant and soon after became skin care specialist for 14 years. She then attended the esthetics program at HealthWorks Institute and graduated 2015 as a licensed Esthetician.

Maurissa started her own practice, Maurissa’s Skin Care and went on to add permanent makeup to her practice in 2017. She attended advanced permanent makeup training at Will Anthony’s Permanent Cosmetics & Advanced Training in 2021. She rebranded to Aura Aesthetics & Ink to be more all inclusive of her services and the team she was building. Maurissa is the co-founder and co-owner of both Amara Advanced School of Esthetics and War Paint Microblading Training.

Maurissa and her husband have 2 children and 2 loveable Golden Retrievers. She is an avid lover of art and music and extremely passionate at providing a work community for strong women and continued excellence in her practice.
